From my experience using it, the sound usually works but the video format is unfortunately inconsistent so Windows media player struggles with some videos. VLC has always worked for me (without having to download sound seperately). It'd be interesting to know if there are some videos where the sound is not working at all.
It works. Just, if I'm correct, I have to download audio and video separately and mux them by myself(I use "mediamux").
